CHICAGO (August 15, 2016) — International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that 146 of its lawyers have been recognized by their peers, and named to the 2017 edition of The Best Lawyers in America 2017, published by Woodward White. In total, the firm received 210 practice recognitions in this year’s ranking.
Additionally, eight McDermott lawyers received further recognition and were named by Best Lawyers as “2017 Lawyers of the Year,” doubling the total number of recipients from 2016. Each year, only one lawyer in each specialty in a particular metropolitan area is recognized for this honor. This year’s recipients include:

- Steven Spears – Litigation: Intellectual Property (Houston)
- Allan Van Fleet – Antitrust Law (Houston)
