Mark A. Baghdassarian

Mark represents clients across various industries, including technology, telecommunications, consumer electronics, and life sciences. With a background in chemistry and experience spanning highly technical subject matter, he understands complicated technologies and develops effective litigation strategies that are aligned with his clients’ business goals.

As a first-chair trial lawyer, Mark has guided clients through all phases of litigation, from pre-suit counseling through trial and appeal. He translates sophisticated technical concepts into straightforward, compelling narratives that resonate with judges and juries, which has helped him secure favorable outcomes, including dismissals, successful claim construction rulings, and appellate wins.

In addition to litigating disputes, Mark advises clients on managing IP risk and aligning litigation strategies with broader business objectives. He also brings sharp insights to evolving areas, such as data privacy and artificial intelligence (AI).

• Represented a leading satellite and digital audio entertainment company in a petition for an inter partes review of a patent for audiovisual recording and playback technology before the Patent Trial & Appeal Board, securing a decision that all asserted claims were unpatentable, which was affirmed by the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit*
