International law firm McDermott Will & Emery represented a joint venture of long-time client, RFR Holding LLC (RFR), a New York-based real estate owner, investor and developer, and Tricap, a New York-based real estate firm, in the sale of the W South Beach hotel to Reuben Brothers, a UK-based investment firm. Located in a prime location on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, Florida, this transaction marks the largest hotel sale in the state this year.
The McDermott team was led by Elias Eliopoulos and Keith Pattiz in a culmination of the firm’s two decade-long involvement with the asset. Tim Swearingen, Philip Fitzpatrick, Gregg Fierman and Diego Torres-Lugo provided invaluable support.
