International law firm McDermott Will & Emery represented Sterling Partners (Sterling), a diversified investment management platform, in its business combination with Sun Capital Partners (Sun Capital), a leading healthcare services investor, to merge Sun Capital’s portfolio company, West Dermatology and Sterling’s portfolio company, Platinum Dermatology Partners.

• The transaction was announced on June 21, 2022.
• The merger of West Dermatology, a group providing business support services to over 300 dermatology providers, and Platinum Dermatology Partners, a dermatology group practice organization with a strong presence in Texas and Arizona, creates an industry leader with more than 100 locations spanning the Southwestern United States and Southern California.
