Überblick
Betsy Zyrkowski handles complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts, including multidistrict and appellate matters, as well as pre-litigation investigations and negotiations. Her practice covers a wide array of issues, ranging from nationwide opioid litigation and consumer fraud to trade secrets misappropriation, conversion, breach of contract disputes, and real estate matters.
Betsy is skilled in all stages of litigation but knows that success for her clients often means avoiding the courtroom. She works closely with clients to craft efficient, innovative strategies that align with their business goals and has achieved strong outcomes through pre-suit discussions and negotiated resolutions.
In addition to representing both plaintiffs and defendants in civil cases, Betsy defends individuals in criminal proceedings involving federal and state bribery, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the False Claims Act (FCA), and fraud. Her experience extends to cross-border disputes and transactions, where she leverages her French language skills to guide clients effectively.
As part of her pro bono practice, Betsy is a certified mediator through the Chicago Center for Conflict Resolution and regularly mediates small claims court cases.
