March 17, 2026 – International law firm McDermott Will & Schulte has been named a finalist for Deal of the Year Restructuring as part of the Latin Lawyer Awards.
McDermott Will & Schulte represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Chapter 11 cases of WOM, one of Chile’s fastest-growing telecom providers. The firm helped resolve litigation challenging the US proceedings, guided WOM through a complex sale and negotiations with noteholders, and secured approval of its Chapter 11 plan, addressing liquidity challenges while preventing liquidation in Chile.
The Latin Lawyer Deal of the Year Awards recognize law firms, general counsel for their work on the most significant, and complex transactions across Latin America.
