Robert has experience drafting and negotiating offering documents, side letters, investment advisory agreements (including for separately managed accounts), governing agreements for management entities, employee compensation arrangements, board resolutions, counterparty agreements and related transaction documents. He also supports clients in developing and implementing compliance programs, including preparing compliance manuals, codes of ethics and submitting regulatory filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Prior to joining McDermott Will & Schulte, Robert served as counsel at an investment management firm, where he provided guidance in governance, compliance, and regulatory engagement matters, as well as in litigation and dispute resolution. He also practiced at a leading, national law firm, where he advised private fund sponsors on fund formation, tax structuring, and related corporate and transactional issues across a range of investment and other corporate strategies.
