Frankfurt, 16 December 2022 – McDermott Will & Emery has represented Investcorp Technology Partners on its acquisition of Dutch software manufacturer NetRom Holding B.V. The closing of the transaction is expected for Q1 2023.
Investcorp Technology Partners focuses on investing in fast-growing, founder-led companies in Europe. The technology team is considered a market leader in investing in lower middle-market companies with a focus on software, data/analytics, cybersecurity and fintech/payment. Since 2001, Investcorp has raised more than $1.5 billion to invest in technology companies.
McDermott previously had advised Investcorp Technology Partners on its acquisition of cybersecurity company Avira for approximately €165 million in April 2020, its sale for approximately $360 million to NortonLifeLock Inc. in December 2020, and its acquisition of a majority stake in Contentserv Group in 2019.
The team advising Investcorp Technology Partners was led by corporate partners Michael Cziesla and Norman Wasse, and included corporate associate Marion von Grönheim and tax counsel Marcus Fischer.
Moreover, Investcorp was advised by Machiel Gaaljaart, Christopher Parker and Zohra Zahir from Dutch firm Orange Clover, and by Andrei Ormenean and Iulian Popescu from Mușat și Asociații in Romania.
